Field Trip to see Grandpa Scott

June 1, 2012.

Grandpa Scott is one cool Grandpa.  He has all sorts of trucks, track-hoes, and other construction equipment that my boys find very interesting.  I just had to take the boys to see Grandpa at work.  We took Grandma Sing and all the cousins with us.

Grandpa Scott is building a 10 million gallon water tank for Central Utah Water Conservancy District in Saratoga Springs.  This is a complex job with water storage tanks, pump stations, and lots of mechanical work(piping).  The boys are so proud of Grandpa and they think he can build anything.

Here is the entire brood with Grandpa Scott.

This is the hole they are digging got the 10 MG water tank.

Justin at the top of the articulating dump truck.  Grandpa took all the kids for a ride.

Of course we had to break for doughnuts!

All the kids wanted to throw rocks in the big hole.

Uncle John works for Gerber Construction and he was on this job too.  Here is Will, Emmie, John, Soren, Jason and Kristal.  These kiddos got to see their daddy at work.

Thanks Grandpa for the fun afternoon!

Courage Reins

June 1, 2012

Hunter started horse back riding at Courage Reins.  This is a therapeutic riding program that will help him with trunk stability, balance, flexibility (he doesnt need help in this category), coordination,  and muscle stimulation.

Today was his first day.  He feel asleep on the horse.  Gary (his OT) kept him in the saddle and said that he was still working even though he feel asleep.  Hunter did so well.  He did not cry, hold his breath or get nervous.  He made the first day easy for mom and dad.  Tyler went to work late so that he could come and be part of the first experience.

Here he is with Gary and a volunteer walker.  The horse he is riding today is Hela.

He even got to ride sideways today.  Gary sings to him while he is riding.

I must admit that watching Hunter ride off the first time was a little scary for both me and Tyler.  Tyler got a teary eyed.  I had to laugh or I would have started crying too.  I told Tyler this was preparing us to watch him ride away in the school bus when he starts the special needs preschool this fall.

He feel asleep towards the end of his ride.  He was all tuckered out.  And that is one proud Dad.

Hunter stayed asleep all the way out to the van and all the way to Aunt Haylie's house to pick up the brothers.  It took it out of him.

Way to go Hunter!! We hope horseback riding will be a positive expererience.  You are a tough little guy!!

Whiting Campground

May 25 - 28, 2012.

For Memorial Day weekend we went camping to Whiting Campground up Mapleton Canyon.  We always look forward to the first trip of the year!  Memorial weekend is always rainy and a little cold but we always have fun.

Here we are. The day we went home was the nicest weather day that we had.

Scott and Heather have become our camping buddies for Memorial weekend.  This is the second year in a row we have camped together.  Callie, Scott, Heather, Austin and Kate.

My dad and mom came with us too.

We painted wood blocks when it was nice enough outside.  Me with Fisher and Justin.

Austin, Callie and Kate had fun painting too.

Hunter played with his beads nearly the whole weekend.

The kids climbed trees.  This is Justin.

Hunter and Fisher played in Hunter's 'crib bed' that Tyler built for him.

We had a movie afternoon when it was raining outside.  Justin feel asleep right on the floor.

The kids had bike races.  Austin, Fisher, Hunter and Grandpa and Justin.

Justin and Fisher rode their bikes from 'Dad's truck to the bathroom.'

Hunter did awesome with his walker.

The boys rode bikes almost every minute the weather allowed.

On Sunday we went down to the Mapleton City park.  The kids had so much fun playing. Here Fisher is on the steep slide.

Justin looking up the cage.  He feel down this cage when we first got to the park...
a little scary for me but we survived.

We can't wait until Memorial Weekend 2013...we hope the Thayn's will go with us again.

Smarty Pants Preschool Graduation

May 24, 2012.

Justin officially graduated from Smarty Pants Preschool.  He is so excited to go to Kindergarten.  We are so proud of him for liking school and doing so well.

Here Justin is on the front porch of Miss Marci's house.

Justin's class getting ready to di their graduation program.

They did a song that went to the beat and moves of the macarana. It was so stinkin' cute.

Soo Tired

May 18 - 23, 2012.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE pictures of my boys sleeping.  They are so precious.  I love when they fall asleep after a good day of fun play.

Fisher likes to come in from outside and get his ducky pillow, dinosaurs, and his blanket and watch Buzz and Woody.  He generally will fall asleep with a sippy full of milk.

This is one of my favorite nap days.  We played slip-n-slide outside and came in to take a break.  Fisher had to have fallen asleep first because there is no way he would have allowed Justin to use his legs for a pillow.  Haha. Hunter is just trying to get around them to watch the TV.

Here is Hunter falling asleep on his lunch.  I love when he falls asleep on his own.  He has a much better nap when he does.  I still wake him up at 1 hour but he sleeps better when its his idea to fall asleep and not mine.

I love my sweet precious sleeping boys.

Planting the Garden

May 19, 2012.

The boys were so excited to help plant the garden.  We planted tomatoes, cilantro, green bell peppers, hot pepper mix, jalepenos, carrots, cucumber, squash and zucchini.  The peppers are for our infamous jalepeno jelly. The boys love the squash and Justin just had to have carrots this year.

Tyler and Fisher planting the tomatoes.

Hunter planting the carrots.

Tyler was so good to let Justin, Fisher, Hunter and Wyatt help.
