Fisher's Sweet Side

Fisher likes to crawl into bed wtih Tyler if Hunter wakes him up early.  Fisher will come in and just stare at you until you wake up.  Here he is with his dinosaur.  I love sleeping children.

Fisher loves Justin.  He is truely his shadow.  If Justin sleeps longer than Fisher he just goes in and sits on Justin's bed and looks at books until Justin wakes up.  It is so cute.

One day I walked into the TV room and this is what I saw.  Two baby dolls under their blanket.
I picked it all up and threw it in the animal basket.  I went to do something else, probably laundry, and came back past the TV room and saw the same thing again.  Fisher dug it out of the animal basket and returned the dolls with their blanket back to the TV room exactly like they were before.  How cute.

My Kitchen Overhaul

We did an over haul on our upstairs kitchen!  I love the changes!  We replaced our laminate counter tops with granite, put in a tile back splash and got new stainless steel appliances.  I was very nervous because we were going dark with the granite.  I was afraid that it would show absolutely everything but then I realized it didn't matter because I wipe everything down every day anyway.  Tyler had to persuade me a little on the granite.  Then I just let him pick the back splash and surprise me.

Here is the kitchen before.

Here it is without counter tops.  This is where my stomach dropped a little and realized there was no turning back.  I was going to get something new and I hoped I liked it.

After.  I LOVE it.  We went with dark granite and lighter Stainless Steel appliances.  I really really like the under mount sink and the new tall faucet.

Tyler put in the backsplash.  He did a fantastic job.  He started the tile at 6:30pm and finished at 4:00 am.  He didnt want to clean up the mess to get it all out again tomorrow so he just plugged through it and got it done in one set up.  He grouted it the next day and then sealed it a few days after that.  I just love how it all goes so well together.

Here is an up close picture of the granite and the backsplash.

We really like the overhaul!

Random

Here are some random photos during April and May.  I just love these pictures.

Justin in his glasses.  He is so good to keep them on.  He looks so old and grown up.

Hunter has been doing so good drinking from a sippy.  He is getting better all the time.

Look at that face..."As soon as I get off this chair I am going to make a mess."  That's my Fisher.

Hunter LOVES LOVES to swing.

Justin is such a good brother.  Hunter loves to play pat-a-cake and do-as-I-am-doing. Here Justin is playing with Hunter.

Fisher the Tornado

Fisher is a TORNADO.  Here is a sampling of his destruction.

This all happened while I was in the shower.

He likes to dump out every bucket in sight; whether he is playing with the contents or not.

Tyler thinks we have too many legos.....

Notice the 3 empty containers in this room.

Then he watches cartoons like the tornado didn't touch down.

He dumps everything.  There is usually something in every room dumped out.

I love my little tornado.  He keeps me hopin' and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Justin's Animals

April 28, 2012.

Justin has thing thing with sleeping with his animals...ALL of his animals.  He has to put them in just the precise order every single night.  That little spot with no animals is were he sleeps.

Here he is with all of his animals:
Left side:  CJ, Mailman Bear, Baby Bear.
Right side: Blue Bear, Gray Dog, Spike-Noodle-Spike-Noodle, Pink Bunny, Brown Monkey, Mickey Mouse, Polka Dot Dog, Gizmo, Monkey, Polka Dot Dog 2, Papa Bear, Porcupine, and Turtle.

He really does fit in there with all of them.

And of course, before he can go to sleep he likes to give them a drink of milk from a sippy and the animals on the top can not have their heads covered up.

Some nights it is quite annoying because it takes so long to get everything just so but it is really pretty sweet to watch him.  I just need to slow down and let him do it.

Motorcycles!

The Ride to Light Up Eureka was on April 21, 2012.  It went from Salt Lake City to Eureka and its course took them right past the cross roads in Saratoga Springs.  So we took the boys down to watch all the Harleys go by.  There were hunderds of them!  The boys were so cute.  They stood on the side of the road and waved to all of them.  It was so cute.  Fisher kept yelling "cycle" for motorcycle.  It was a lot of fun.

The 2nd Kitchen

We now officially have a 2nd kitchen in our basement.  This was Tyler's project from March thru April of this year.  He did a fabulous job.  He installed the cabinets himself.  His brother, Lee, helped with the crown molding.

Tyler made the butcher block top for the island.  This took some talking for me to give in and let him try something 'different'.  I love it and think it is the best part of the kitchen.  He bought the butcher block, cut it to size, sanded, stained, sanded, stained and probably sanded and stained again.  It was a lot of work but he did an amazing job with it.

One great thing about the downstairs kitchen is the farmer style sink.  It is massive.  It doesn't have a center divider so it makes it one big sink.  It is so easy to wash in!

Tyler finished the stools to match the butcher block top.  Everything looks so awesome!

Thanks Tyler for yet another amazing job!
