Whatever it takes to get them to eat?

June 14, 2013.

Whatever it takes to get them to eat? Right? Well, tonight at dinner, Fisher refused to eat his chicken nuggets unless he did things his way.

He wanted me to put the nuggets in the ginormous silver bowl.  He then preceded to pick them up and put them on his plate with the "pinchers".  He had to do this with every last nugget.  Once they were all on his plate.... he ate everyone.

Fisher gets his stubbornness from his mom and his dad.  Not a good combination!  Fish, I love your determination!

Special Olympics 2013

June 13, 2013.

We had the opportunity to go to the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics 2013.  It was at Herriman High School.  Tyler's work is a sponsor of the games.  We got tickets to the VIP dinner. It was very cool.

Here is Tyler and the boys on the track.  We were waiting for the Hihg-5 line to welcome the athletes.

Tyler and Hunter sporting the shades.

As part of the opening ceremony a whole bunch of police officers on motorcycles drove out on the track and onto the field.  The boys thought this was pretty cool.

Here the motorcycle police are at center field.

As part of being VIP guests, we were able to stand in the High-5-Line.  This is where people line up on the track and give all of the athletes high-5's as they enter the stadium.  It was pretty neat seeing how many athletes there were and being able to wish them luck.

Tyler and Fisher waiting for more athletes.

We stood by Cosmo during the High-5-Line. Justin was so excited he couldn't take his eyes off Cosmo.  Fisher wanted nothing to do with him.

Me and Hunter in the stands watching the athletes preform as part of the ceremonies.  It was so dang windy it was hard to hear the announcer.

Fisher was loving the stadium seats and thought it was cool to sit at the very top.

The color-gaurd was all special needs athletes.  It was very cool to watch this performance.

We had a good experience participating at this year's Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies.  Thank you to Tyler's work for sponsoring such a great cause.

Camping in the back yard

June 10, 2013.

Justin and Fisher went camping in the back yard with Tyler.  They had an absolute blast!  This was the first tent camping for Fisher.  Me and Hunter slept inside.

That is pure excitement on his face!

Both Justin and Fisher were very excited to tent camp in the back yard.  They had  lot of fun.

Thanks Tyler for making fun memories with our boys.  Next summer will be Tyler and 3 little boys tent camping....Hunter is looking forward to joining them.

Hunter and his books

June 8, 2013.

One of Hunter's very favorite places is his bookshelf.  He could look at books for hours.  He sits with his legs straight out in front of him and holds the book on his legs.  He holds his feet up off the floor about 3 inches while he flips through the pages.  He has got some great core strength!

R & R for Fisher

June 8, 2013

After all the waterslide fun yesterday Fisher needed some much needed R & R.  He asked if he could be cozy in the bean bag and watch a show.

It does this mom good when he takes some time for a little R & R.

Our New Summer Fun

June 7, 2013

I decided that I wanted to buy the boys a new summer toy.  When I told Tyler my plan he thought I was crazy!!  I wanted a blow-up waterslide.  So I bargain shopped and got a steal of a deal on this awesome slide!

This was our first day of waterslide fun!

Fisher isn't fazed by the ice cold water.  He loves every minute of being in the water.

Justin, Wyatt, Madi, Kierra and Maggie.

Justin coming down.... he doesn't like the shower at the top of the slide much.

A successful first run down the slide.

Hunter got in on the summer action..... but not in the ice cold water..... iPad love.

It is so much fun to have a toy the whole neighborhood enjoys!  To many more summer days of waterslide fun!

Why do I blog?

That is a good question.  I blog because it is like my journal.  I am disappointed that I am so far behind.  My goal is to get caught up by the first of December.
