It has been so cold that we go down to the bus stop in the van to get Justin off the bus. Today Hunter and Fisher ended up taking a nap. So perfect because I wanted to get pictures of Justin getting off the bus with his Shooting Star Award!
Today Justin earned his Shooting Star!!
The Shooting Star is an achievement that he can earn at Kindergarten. In order to get the Shooting Star he had to count to 200 by 1's without making a single mistake. We really hadn't been practicing very much and then one day while sitting in church waiting for sacrament meeting to start he asked if he could try counting to 200. I was so impressed when he did it without making a single mistake!!! And he did it the first time he tried it!! Here he is showing off his award!
Counting to 200 by 1's is the requirement to get your Shooting Star and then you can earn bonus stars for counting to 200 by 2's, 5', 10's and 25's. Justin did all of them the very next day except for the 2's. We had to work on the 2's for an extra day.
Justin is so smart with numbers. He has his Dad's mathematical brain! Way to go Justin! We are so so proud of you!!
