Good Night Justin

February 21, 2013.

One night I tucked Justin into bed and this was our conversation:

Me: "Good night Justin, I love you."
Justin: "Good night, my precious."
Me: "Precious? What does that mean?"
Justin: "It means my lady in French."

Haha. What a Dork!

Bed Time Snack

February 21, 2013.

Justin and Fisher just had to stay up for a bedtime snack because they were "STARVING".  Hunter was sound asleep in his bed.

Believe it or not, Fisher chose cucumbers and carrots.

And Justin chose 'just carrots'!!

If this is the only way they will eat vegetables we might need to incorporate a bedtime snack into our nightly routine!

Hunter's new sleep position

February 19, 2013.

Hunter has discovered a new sleep position.  Sound asleep and kicked back!

I went in to tuck him in and this is how I found him. We think he likes it cause he does this quite often now.

Justin's fat lip at school

February 8, 2013.

One day the school called me and said that Justin was in the office because he bonked heads with another kid at recess.  I talked to Justin on the phone for a moment. He was being so brave.  I could tell that he was a little nervous and wanted me to be at the school and not on the phone.

I went down to the school and checked him out and brought him home.

This is a picture of his war wound from school!  You gotta love recess!

He put an icepack on it and before long he felt much much better and wanted to play with his friends!  What a little trooper!

100 Days of Kindergarten

February 2, 2013.

Justin's kindergarten class celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten.  As part of the celebration students could make a project of their choice with 100 items.  Justin chose to build a castle.  Justin and Tyler unwrapped 100 candy caramels and then used Karo syrup to glue them together.

They did a great job. Here is the finished castle.

Dad and Justin so proud!

Way to go boys!

Cucumber Boy

February 2, 2013.

Fisher is my cucumber boy!  He loves them...especially in white sauce (Ranch).

Let's see how many he can put in his mouth at once!

Pizza Face

January 28, 2013.

Hunter just ate pizza!! The only solid food that he will eat is cherrios, fruit loops, Cheetos, a Swiss roll and now PIZZA! He is an all American boy!

Hooray for Hunter!! The brothers were so proud of him...and so was mom!

Our First Visit to Scheels

January 26, 2013.

When we got home from Key West we wanted to take the boys and do something fun.  We decided to go to Scheels and check things out.  It was so cold outside there wasn't much else to do.

When we got there little Hunter had fallen asleep.  We carefully moved him to the stroller and he stayed asleep.  He was so cute.

The first thing the boys saw was the huge ferris wheel.  They waiting in line for 25 minutes to go on it.  Fisher was just barely tall enough to ride.  We lucked out cause he would have been heart broken if he couldn't ride.  So there they are Justin, Dad and Fisher.

After the ferris wheel we took some photo ops by the monster jeep and the fake bear.

Then we discovered the bowling lanes upstairs.  Justin and Fisher played rollerball with a little help from mom.  They really thought this was pretty cool.

Fisher needed a little more help so he didn't throw the ball into the next lane.

He was so excited and celebrated after every roll.

The boys also played on the indoor big toy.   All in all it was a good trip. We were glad to be home and spend some time with them.

Parasailing In Key West

January 22, 2013.

My favorite thing we did in Key West was by far the parasailing!  I have wanted to do this and this was my chance!

Here we are loading the parachute.  We stood up on the deck on the back of the boat and they hooked us all up.  Tyler looks a little nervous.

Here we are getting let out.  Before leaving the boat the driver asked us if we wanted to dip our feet.  We said sure.  Our feet drug through the water for a little ways...we thought that was the 'dip' he was taking about.

Here we are going up...up...up!

It was unreal how high we got.  We were up about 100' above the water.  It was so quite.  We couldn't hear anything.  It was quite relaxing, I thought.

All of a sudden the driver started to slow down and we started to come down.  Tyler was getting a little nervous and kept saying, "He's slowing down. He knows we are coming down, right?"  Well, we came down alright.  We got so low our feet were dragging through the water.  Before we knew it we were on our way back up.  That was the 'dip' he was talking about!

Here we are coming back into the boat.  So so so FUN!

I had so much fun! I hope this is something we get to do again in our life time!

Key West Flordia

January 21 - 25, 2013.

Tyler and I went to Key West Florida on a FABULOUS vacation.  This trip was awarded to Tyler from his work for doing an outstanding job.  Tyler has earned the "Circle of Champions" trip 2 years in a row.  The entire trip was planned out for us and the 12 other couples that we were with.  People came from offices in Draper, Utah; Fort Worth, Texas; and Omaha, Nebraska.

The reception dinner was held on the beach. There was a private dinner buffet including a smores bar!  There was a band playing. The weather was amazing!  It was a beautiful night.  We were able to catch up with a few people from the Circle of Champions trip last year.

Tyler roasting marshmallows for our smores.

This picture was taken in the lobby of our beach side hotel.  This was after dinner and before the Afterglow.  Afterglow was held every night after dinner; basically, it is social hour at the bar.  We only made an appearance for a few minutes each night.

The first day we arrived in Key West there was the beginnings of a sandcastle on the patio of our hotel.  We watched its progress each day.  It was pretty amazing to watch them sculpt this using only sand and water.

This is our hotel looking in from the private pier.

The first full day of activities was a lot of fun.  We went on a group outing with everyone on the trip.  We went out on this huge catamaran and played in the ocean.  Activities included jet skiing, banana boats, an ocean trampoline and parasailing.  Here we are setting sail.  My favorite activity was definitely the parasailing but the jet skis were a close second.

I attempted the ocean trampoline.  I was really hard.  Every time I tried to jump the water absorbed the tramp and so I didn't get very much air.  It was a lot harder than I thought. I was laughing so hard that it was difficult to stand up.

Here is some of the guys going out on the banana boat.  It was pulled behind a jet ski. We road on it too.  It was fun but a little cold when the water splashed up on us.

Here we are on the parasailing boat.  We were the first couple to go up in our bunch.  I have always wanted to try parasailing so I was so excited.  It was ALOT of fun!  We got some amazing pictures so they get a post all by themselves.

We ate lunch on the catamaran.  This is were lunch was served.

Here I am on the balcony of our room.  Our room overlooked the hotel swimming pools and the ocean.  It was amazing.  That night we ate dinner at the Hot Tin Roof.

On the second day of activities we chose to go on a jet ski tour around the island of Key West.  This is the group that went on the jet skiis.  This was an optional activity so not everyone did this.
The jet ski tour was fun but it was COLD.  The sun stayed behind the clouds all day and the wind was blowing.  It took us about 2 hours to circle the entire island.  By the time we were done I was ready to get in a HOT shower and Tyler could have went another hour.  We only had about 15 minutes to get ready for dinner.

Dinner was at The Hemingway House.  They set up a dance floor where they had some dancers preform for us.  The tables were set out on the front lawn and dinner was served to us.  It was an amazing night.

Here is the group from Utah.  Only 2 managers were able to go from Tyler's office.

On the third day of activities we were on our own.  We chose to go shopping on Duvall Street.  It was hot so we decided to take a pedi-cab to the other end and walk back.  Here we are in the little basket being towed by a man on a pedal bike.  It cost us $30 bucks.

This is what the pedi-cab looks like.

That night we went on a group dinner to Latitudes.  This was by far the best dinner the entire trip.  Latitudes was on one of the tiny islands that surrounds Key West.  We had to take the ferry to get there.  The company at our table was the most enjoyable this night.  The food was fantastic and the weather was perfect.  We sat in a room that opened up to the beach and the cool evening air.  It was a perfect night.

I had to take a picture of the sandcastle once it was finished.  The detail on it was amazing!  How would it be to go to work and carve in the sand all day wearing nothing but your swimming suit and walking bare-foot in the sand.

Here we are on the hotel's private pier looking into the ocean.  We had a wonderful vacation.

The hotel's private beach was so cool.  Every morning they raked the sand.  The hotel grounds were so clean and manicured.

We were not ready to leave the 70 degree summer weather of Key West and head home to Utah with temperatures in the teens.

We had such an amazing time.  We missed the boys so much!  They did so good and didn't hardly miss us.  Thank you to Haylie, Kristal and Grandma Sing for making it possible for us to go on this trip!

More Justin Funnies

January 2013.

This is us at lunch.

Justin: "Fisher, it's ok, you can be done with lunch."
Mom: "How about I'm the mom and I will say when Fisher is done."
Justin: "How about you're the mom and I am the boss."

Hehe. He has it figured out.

-------------------------

Going to bed.

Mom: "Good night Justin, I love you."
Justin: "Good night, my precious."
Mom: "Precious? What does that mean?"
Justin: "It means My Lady in French."

French?  Were did that come from?

---------------------------

I need to write more of this stuff down. When Justin says something funny I think I will never forget but I do.  I know he has said more funny things that these two but I cant remember.
