We have survived the first 6 months

We have officially survived the first 6 months of twins and a 2 1/2 year-old! Life is fun and we love it! Here is what's happening at our house:

Fisher: Fisher is the happiest baby ever! He smiles all the time, his eyes have this twinkle in them when he smiles! He is getting to be a big boy.... 19 lbs! He is rolling poly all over....he looks like he has rubberbands around his wrists, between his wrists and elbows, and between his elbows and shoulders. He is the cutest chubbiest thing you could ever lay eyes on. He is rolling from his back to his tummy. He loves to sit in the saucer. He likes to watch TV with Dad. He makes all sorts of noises to get your attention. He likes the music from his mobile. He is a super SUPER great napper. And he loves to play with Justin.

Hunter:

Hunter is our little guy! He weighs in at 13 lbs 10 oz. He is one tall skinny boy! He is doing so well and getting stronger every day. He loves to lay under the "jungle gym" that Tyelr made for him and play with the dangling toys. He absolutely loves to be naked. Alot of times when he is crying and I dont know why I just strip him down to his nothings and he is as happy as can be. Hunter is starting to laugh when he is tickled and he loves to be kissed under his chin. Hunter is not quite rolling yet but will be very soon. He loves bathtime (probably because he is naked) and enjoys getting rubbed down with lotion.

Justin loves to have one or both of the brothers on his bed to read stories. He tell us to leave and he will read a book. Here he is reading Noah's Ark to Fisher. Fisher and Hunter like this time with Justin.
Here is the jungle gym that Tyler built for the babies. Justin likes it almost as much as they do. Here is Justin and Fisher playing.

We started the boys on rice cereal. Hunter doesnt like is so much yet. Fisher isn't quite sure but he is getting better.

This is something that I want to remember...I call it the diaper closet. This is what happens when you have 3 kids in diapers. (this is being addressed....see the next post in a couple of days.)
And this is my favorite buy .... the double stroller. I should have bought this along time ago. It is awesome. I was so excited about it, I had to put the babies in it and push it around the house cause it was to darn cold outside! This stroller works wonderful at the doctor!

A humbling day

Today we took Hunter to the Neurologist because we have been concerned about some development delays. The great news is that the doctor feels that Hunter is doing just fine. Because he was born 2 months premature his "corrected age" is actually only 3 1/2 months old. (5 1/2 months actual age minus the 2 months he missed). The Neurologist discovered that Hunter is actually right on track for his corrected age! That was such good news! He does have low-muscle tone but that is something that we can work with.

What a humbling experience it was as Tyler and I sat in the waiting room at the Neurology Clinic and watched other parents bring their children in. I was teary eyed as I watched many parents lovingly take care of their sweet children. I cried for a while once I got back to the car because I realized that I am so blessed. Blessed beyond measure!

Be thankful for your children and the sweet spirits they are! I love my 3 boys so much!

Life with 5 month old twins & a 3-year-old (almost)

The other day Justin and I painted a coat rack for his bedroom. I let him paint these two smaller boards just for fun. He had so much fun. Justin loves when we put Hunter and Fisher on his bed. He always wants us to go out of the room and leave the babies with him. The first thing Justin does is cover all three of them up with a blanket and then he reads them a story. It is very cute.

Fisher and Hunter like to sit in the bumbo chairs. I put this picture in becuase it is the only picture I have of Fisher crying and Hunter isnt!

Justin is a proud big brother. He loves Hunter and Fisher so much. He always talks about when they get bigger he can wrestle them. Although, he tries to wrestle them now if I go in the other room.

Hunter and Fisher. They are about 4 1/2 months old in this picture. Fisher looks like he is protecting his little brother.

The twins are now 5 months old. It is amazing to me how different each one is.
Fisher weighs 17 lbs 3 oz! He is our chicken leg gone tubba-tubba. He is the happiest baby I have ever seen. He has been sick and it is the cutest thing when he is sitting in the saucer and has boogers running to his lips and he is still smiling! Fisher loves to fall asleep sitting on my lap with his back to my tummy. He likes when I pat his tummy to calm him down. He likes to have his pants off but not his socks. He is starting to roll up on his side but has not quite made it over to his tummy. He doesnt have to learn to roll because Justin does it for him. We love our Fisher and are so thankful for his happy smile and the twinkle in his eye.
Hunter weighs 12 lbs 13 oz. He is our little guy. He is learning to roll. If we put him on his tummy he can roll up onto his side. He is starting to feel better with the medication we have him on for his tummy upset. He is now able to lay and play without much fussing. Hunter loves to fall asleep on my shoulder while I pat his bum. He loves to lay and kick with his pants and socks off. He loves the bath tub and is always so happy after bath time. We love our Hunter Baby and are so thankful that he is feeling better!
Justin weighs 34 lbs. He is such a big helper. He is starting to say so many funny things. Last night he told Tyler to go in the big hallway to momma's bathroom and get his bath toys. It was funny. Justin loves to read and has many of his books memorized. He is so smart. He loves to play just about anyting with Dad and he absolutely loves his Grandpa Scott.
We are doing well and we are happy. We feel so blessed to have 3 awesome little boys!
