Hunter's Kidney Update

November 27, 2013

We have reason to celebrate! Hunter got the A-OK from the kidney doctor yesterday.... His kidneys look "perfect"! We have been monitoring his right kidney since I was 20 weeks pregnant. He had surgery on it when he was 2 1/2. That's was almost 2 years ago. He is now 4 and has been thru a lot of kidney stuff in the last 4 years! He has been a brave trooper! Awesome job Hunter!

Fisher should grow up to be an Engineer....and Train Engineer that is.  He loves to play with the train.

The little pink hearts

November 1, 2013

Ok, so why post these pictures?? I started noticing these pink paper hearts all over the house. It took me a minute to realize what thy were for. Justin has been doing small acts of silent service and leaving hearts behind!

He took the laundry basket to the laundry room.

And picked up the toys without being asked.

He has done lots of other things too! Thank you to his sweet primary teachers, Rob and Sarah Hiatt for challenging him to do this.

Halloween 2013

October 31, 2013

Oh my, Halloween is always so busy and this year was no different.  I didnt even get very great pictures of the kids in costume.  Today Fisher didn't have school at Learning Dynamics so he was my helper all day.

Here is Batman, AKA Fisher.

And Superman, AKA Justin.

And Spiderman, AKA Hunter.

Today Fisher and I went to Thunder Ridge to see Justin in the costume parade, then we went to Pony Express to help with Hunter's class party, then back to Justin's school to help in his class party. Then me and the boys went to see Tyler at work.   All in all, very busy, very fun!

This is Justin's cute teacher, Mrs. Schmidt, at Justin's school costume parade.

Thank you to the class party treat bag, Superman turned into Dracula Superman.

As part of Justin's class party I was in charge of the toilet paper mummies!
The kids had fun with this.

Fisher was able to participate in Hunter's class party this year.
He had a lot of fun being there with Hunter.

Tyler dressed up this year.  He stayed with the superhero theme and went as Clark Kent.
Clark Kent and Spiderman...

The boys were so anxious to get home and go trick-or-treating that they were bugging each other the whole way home from Tyler's work.

Hunter was his normal happy self along for the ride with one sock on and his feet by his ears.

And finally, they went trick-or-treating.

The boys LOVE Halloween and all the fun and games that go with it.

4-Wheeling Fisher and Jeff

October 19, 2013

Fisher had the time of his life when Jeff drove over to pick him up.

Fisher and his best little bud, Jeff, 4-wheeling!

And boy did he think he was something when he had a turn all by himself!

Hunter and the bean bag

October 18, 2013

Hunter in the bean bag.  He snuggled right down in it for about 3 minutes.  Hey, that was longer than I expected!

Fisher and his Kitty

Love my Fisher even if he does love a cat!

Computer Games

October 8, 2013

The boys went through a phase of wanting to play computer games CONSTANTLY!  I tried to take advantage of them wanting to hang out with mom!

Little League Soccer 2013 - Justin

October 5, 2013

Justin played another year of little league soccer!  He is quite the little soccer player....makes his mom proud!
Tyler always helps coach.

Fisher and Hunter are always good sports.  They go to every game and play on the blanket with mom.

 Way to go Justin!

Batman Party - Fisher and Hunter are 4

October 2, 2013

Fisher and Hunter turned 4!  So a Batman Party was in order.

I went downstairs to get something before the kids started showing up and came upstairs to Hunter sound asleep.  He NEVER falls asleep on his own, let alone outside of his bed!  So I let me sleep a minute......

The kids gathered in the Bat Cave (AKA the kitchen).

Here is Jason and Soren coloring Gotham City.

Once everyone arrived the kids gathered for instruction. They each were given a bat cape but had to earn the bat mask to become a true batman. All bat masks had to be earned by going through "Bat Training".

They all received a bat cape and then had to follow the bat trail to the first "Bat Training" site.

The first test in the "Bat Training" exercise was strength trainning.

The second exercise in "Bat Training" was to test their mighty muscles.
The test was to see how far they could push the enormous bean-bag-boulder.

They did a pretty good job all together.  The bean-bag-boulder was heavy!

Next was to identify team mates.
We played a game of Batman-Batman-Robin.
This is a spin off Duck-Duck-Goose.  This was hilarious.

Once our team mates were identified we had to study and identify the enemies.

More than half way through "Bat Training"....
Mason Birch, Tanner Blackburn, Jason Christiansen, Jeff hart, Fisher, Hunter,
Justin, Keegan Worthen, Wyatt Page, and Soren Christiansen down in front.

Hunter let us put his cape on!

"Bat Training" resumed  outside... fighting skills on the tramp...

gazing over the city from the highest spot....

Hunter had to get a little Mickey Mouse in the mix of training.
My mom and Kristal were awesome Hunter-Helpers!

The final test to pass "Bat Training" is thwarting the enemy.
This is where they gained their secret weapon......

silly string......

Take aim!!
Hunter and Fisher got to take the first shot!

All of the kids wanted a turn to hit the Joker!

Silly string and thwarting the enemies was a BIG hit!  I think they completed "Bat Training" with flying colors and earned their bat mask for sure!

We finished up with presents and treats.

and treats......chocolate covered donuts of course!

Tanner liked the bat mask the most, I think.  Look at that cute chocolate face.

That smile says it all!  They had fun!  Cute little Jeff Hart.

My little 4-year-old BATMANs!
Hunter and Fisher

A big thanks to Rach for helping with ""Bat Training" and taking all the fabulous pictures!
