More from Justin

October 2012.

A couple more funny things Justin has said that I didnt want to miss.

-------------------

Justin: "Sometimes when I test Fisher's skills to see if he can protect himself from his friends, he pushes me down."

What a dork :).  I just love that kid.

-------------------

Justin, from the other room: "Mom, get me a drink."
Mom: "I will when I am done feeding Hunter."
Justin: "Mom, I said get me a drink. Right now or you're fired."
Mom: "Ok. Do you even know what fired means?"
Justin: "No."
Mom: "It means that I wont be the mom anymore."
Justin: "Ok. I was just kidding."

Some days it would be nice to be fired..... no laundry, no dishes, no poopy bums...........

-------------------

At the doctor's office because Fisher and Hunter were sick.  The doctor was examining Hunter's ears.

Hunter: Whine and cry because the doctor is looking in his ear.
Justin, politely placing his had on the doctor's forearm:  "That is bothering him. When you are bothering him and he is crying you're supposed to stop it."
Doctor: "I am almost done."
Justin: very serious and with a hint of protectiveness in his voice, "You're bothering him."

Oh! What an amazing brother Justin is.  He was truely concerned for Hunter and was trying to protect him.

------------------

Justin was in bed trying to go to sleep and this is how it went,

Justin: "MOM!"
Mom: walking into his room, "what's a matter bud?"
Justin: "I can't stop thinking about Octanauts."
Mom: "You can't!  I will go get you a drink and will be right back."

Tyler just got home from work so I sent him in with a drink and to help poor Justin out.

Tyler: going into his room, "You're thinking of Octanauts huh?"
Justin: "No, I'm not but my brain is and it is totally wierdin' me out."

Haha... what a crack up.  He gets his terrible sleep habbits from his Dad.  Tyler just lays awake at night just thinking things over and over and over.  Neither one of them can fall asleep very easily.  Nothing like mom...I usually can fall asleep during prayer.

Hunter's - 5 Days Down

October 5, 2012.
Well, Hunter (and Mom) survived the first week of pre-school.  Hunter has done so well!  I have been so amazed at his progress this week.  When I pull up to the school in the morning Hunter gets so excited.  He starts kicking his feet and making his giddy sound and then he pats his legs with his hands.  It is so stinking cute.  I just pull up to the curb and get his walker out, put him in it and away he goes to the door.  He knows where to go and doesn't hesitate at all.  His teacher and the aides come out and pick up the bus kids first and then they get Hunter and they all walk to class together.

When I get back to pick him up I just wait on the curb for him.  His teacher/aides walk him out.  He looks so big coming through the doors of the school with his walker all by himself.  I wait by the van and he walks all the way out.  He is so excited to see me and gives me the biggest hug ever!

I just love how excited he is about school and how much he loves it.  He is so proud of himself!  And he made days 2-5 without taking a nap at school! Haha...

Hunter coming out of the school with Miss Lisa.  We love Lisa.

So big after 5 days of school

Here is a picture of th bus kids.  They are so stinking cute.

Way to go Hunter for surviving the 1st week! So proud of you.

Justin's ABC Crown

October 1, 2012.

Justin got his ABC Crown!  That means he passed off all of his upper and lower case letters and their sounds to his teacher!  Woot! Woot!

Today has been a big day for our family:  1st day of pre-school for Hunter, Itty-Bitty-Football for Fisher, and the ABC Crown for Justin.  One proud momma today!

Fisher and Itty-Bitty Football

October 1, 2012.

Fisher finally got to do something for Fisher and he got to do it all by himself.  Today Hunter started pre-school and so we thought that it would be important for Fisher to do something.  So we signed him up for Itty-Bitty-Football at the Legacy Center.

Fisher was a little shy in the beginning.  He didn't really want to do the stretches or the warm up laps so he just hung out by me.  He was very interested when they went to the first station.  It was kicking the footballs off the tee's.  He was so thrilled to get the green ball.  There were 5 kids and 5 balls so it worked out perfect.

Fisher was so funny when it came to this.  This is how he did it..... set the ball on the tee...

....back up.... ready set....

...pick it up and run!!  Look at that face.  He was so determined.

Then at the 3rd station he was able to run the ball with his flags on.  He loved this.

Most of the kids ran about 1/2 way across the court.  Fisher ran the whole way across and then at the end we had to convince him to turn around and run back.  It reminded me of "Run Forest Run..."

He had so much fun!  Way to go Fisher!

1st Day of School for Hunter

October 1, 2012.

Hunter started pre-school today.  He attends the special education pre-school through Alpine School District.  He goes to Pony Express Elementary.  His Teacher is Miss Gina.  The aides are Miss Lisa and Miss Lindsey.

Hunter on his first day of school.  He is happy to be outside.

Justin and Fisher were so excited for Hunter.  Poor Fisher thought he was going to school too an d wanted his backpack on like his brothers.  I am so proud of my 3 boys.

Hunter and Fisher in their awesome new BYU backpacks from Grandma Clark.  They even had their names on them.  They were so cute.  I wish they were doing school together.

Here we are at the school.  I was a nervous wreck and Hunter was just excited as ever...a little confused but ready to go.

Hunter's teacher called me to let me know that Hunter had fallen asleep!  What?!?  He was having a nap on his first day of school and I couldn't believe it!  I went to the school to get him and decided to see what he would do if I just left him.  He slept about 55 minutes and then started to wake up.

He woke up happy and didn't even see me.  Miss Lisa (left) brought him some toys and played with him. Miss Gina (right) came to check on him.  I was so excited that he woke up happy.  I was just standing off to the side so he wouldn't see me.

Not long after he woke up class was over.  So I just took him home then.  Here he is walking down the school hallway.  He looked so big!

Here he is coming out of the school all by himself.

This was a very hard day for me.  I was so nervous to leave him.  Up until this point, I had only left Hunter with Grandmas and my sister(once) and a friend (once for 20 minutes) and now I was leaving him with complete strangers. I dropped him off and just had to leave before I broke down.  Hunter never cries when I leave him so I wasn't worried about that. However, when I went to leave he reached for me and whined.  I was not ready for that and it made me get teary.  I had to just turn and walk out of the room.  I stood in the hallway and cried.  I almost went back and got him but then reminded myself that this was good for Hunter to experience.  So I peeked in the window and saw that he was doing good and liking story time.

I was a nervous wreck and kept my phone in my hand waiting or the phone call saying that he was holding his breath or something....then the phone rang and I about fell on the floor when I recognized the number of Hunter's teacher.  When I said hello this is what I heard, "Nothing is wrong. He just feel asleep."  Ha, I almost laughed out loud.  I was not expecting that.  Miss Gina said that he just went to sleep on Miss Lisa's lap during song time.  He had crawled around all over outside and tired himself right out.  I told Miss Gina that I would be there and pick him up.  (I was in Lehi with Fisher at Itty-Bitty-Football so it took me some time to get back to drop Fisher off and get back to the school).

I got to Hunter's class and when I realized he had been asleep for about 45 minutes I decided to just wait and see what he did.  After about 6-7 minutes he started to stir so I knew he would be waking up.  I just stood back in the corner to see how he handled it.  He woke up happy and played and it didn't really even faze him.  Hooray!  That is just what I needed.   It was good for me to be able to see the classroom and the other kids playing and doing their thing.  It gave me peace of mind to see how things worked in his class even if it was only for a few minutes.  His nap was a blessing in disguise for me because it got me in his classroom so I could observe.

Day one was a success for Hunter and for Mom.  I survived and so did Hunter.

Happy 3rd Birthday to the Twins

September 29, 2012.

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to the Twins!!!

Stats from the 3-year check-up:

Fisher:  34 1/2 lbs

Hunter: 26 lbs

Fisher is our little spit-fire. Do-what-I-want-and-not-what-you-want kind of kid.  He has a mind of his own and he lets you know it.  He absolutely loves to do whatever Justin is doing.  He loves to play outside, jump on the tramp, play with the batcave, wear his jammies all day, go for rides in the Rhino, sleep with his dinosaur, eat chicken nuggets, climb and bounce all over the furniture, stand on his head for prayer, be rocked at bedtime and playing the IPAD.

Fisher's favorites:
Food: chicken nuggets and chocolate pudding
Cartoon: Phineus and Ferb
Superhero: Batman
Saying: "I do it. I do it"
Clothes: Jammies
Treat: chocolate, suckers

Hunter is our happy little guy.  No matter what he is doing he is easy going and happy.  He loves kisses from mom, cheetos, cheerios, looking at books, playing outside, getting a bath, swimming, swinging in the backyard and at the park but mostly at Grandma Clark's. He is starting to like the IPAD and tries to take it away from the brothers.  Hunter also likes rides in Dad's Rhino.

Hunter is walking with his crocodile gait trainer.  He is working on standing on his own, self-feeding, communicating, going down stairs, and eating solid foods.  He is making progress and working hard.

Hunter's Favorites:
Food: cheetos and cherrios
Cartoon: MIckey Mouse
Superhero: Superman
Clothes: anything
Treat: dry cereal and peanut butter cookies

Little League Soccer

September 29, 2012.

Justin LOVES soccer.  He has had so much fun his first season of little league.  He is quite the good little player.  We have been impressed how hard he plays at each game.

Justin dribbling the ball down the field with Nick close behind.  Coach Matt is in the background.

Justin and Nick planning how the kick-off.

Lots of running and chasing the ball.  Most of the time the kids just steel the ball away from who ever has it whether they are on the other team or not.

Coach Matt reminding the kids which goal they are shooting for.

Dad, Fisher, and Hunter watching the game.  Fisher and Hunter have been troopers and have set on the sidelines so cute the whole season.

Just a few games left in the season.... keep up the good work Justin and team Rhinos!

Our New Pet Rhino

September 29, 2012.

A couple months ago this is how the conversation went at bedtime.

Tyler: "Justin, ask Mom when we can get a 4-wheeler."
Justin: "Mom, can we get a 4-wheeler?"
Tyler: "No, Justin, ask Mom when we can get a Rhino."
Justin: "Dad, Mom doesnt want any pets."
Mom: "That's funny."

Well, here we are.... we now have a new pet... its a Rhino.
Happy Late Birthday to Tyler.

Justin and Fisher just could not wait to go on their first ride.

This is how the Rhino came.  Tyler is going to transform this 2-seat Rhino to a 5-seat Family-Ride-Rhino.  Watch the transformation pictures to come in a post in the near future.

Mom has got to get used to the idea of boys like these things and they have fun on them.

Courage Reins - Last Ride

September 28, 2012.

This was Hunter's last day at Courage Reins.  Hunter was able to ride horses for therapy through Kids on the Move.  Hunter has aged out of the program because he turned 3-years-old.

Here Hunter is riding with Michelle and a volunteer walker.

Hunter really was relaxed when he rode.  He never ever cried to get on the horse every Friday morning.

Hunter can go anywhere with his new walker...even over the wood chips at the park!!

Justin tried out the spinners.  I don't know if he quite knew what to think.  He got pretty dizzy.

We love park days!
