Perinatologist at 28 weeks

We had an ultra sound today on the babies. Things are looking good and they are growing. One baby was 3 lbs 4 oz and the other 3 lbs 5 oz. They are measuring ahead of schedule. We are happy about this because we want the little fellers to gain weight! Baby B still has fluid on the kidney, we can't do anything about it until the babies are born. Once they are born we have the pediatrician look at the kidney via ultrasound and then decide what to do at that point. The fluid is from "kinked or blocked plumbing" between the kidney and the bladder. Currently there doesn't appear to be any damage to the kidney so that is good news. My next ultrasound in in 4 weeks!

27 Week Check-up

Yesterday was my 27 week check-up. Everything looks great! I am still shooting to hit 36 week, which is 9 weeks from now. My doctor told me that was a lofty goal and he would feel pretty lucky to make it to 34 weeks, that makes it only 7 weeks away!

I have lots to do to be ready for 2 babies. I better get the whip crackin'!!

CFA Level 2

Horray!! Tyler just found out this morning that he passed his Level 2 CFA Test!!!

He took the test in June and we have been waiting to find out the results ever since. CFA stands for Chartered Financial Analylist. So what does that mean? Well, that post will have to come from Tyler. Anyway, it is a huge accomplishment and A LOT of work.

I am so proud of Tyler. Now it's onto the last and final level, Level 3. Good Luck!!

Grandpa's Race Car

On Sunday, Grandpa took Tyler and Justin and the other grandkids for rides in his Race Car. It was not a typical Sunday afternoon ride to say the least!! Justin and Tyler had so much fun...Thanks Grandpa!

My dad has this desert buggy that he and his brother race. They bought this car over a year ago and have been in the process of transitioning it from a signle-seater to a double-seater. Now that the work is done and the money is spent....they are selling the buggy. Tyler is so bummed out about the sell but what can you do?

My Jack-of-all-trades

It's true. I married a Jack-of-all-Trades. We are finishing the basement at a wildly mad pace in order to try to have it done by the time the babies arrive. Over the next several days, Tyler is laying the tile in the bathroom, laundry room and the kitchen. It is a lot of tile but its going to be awesome. We bought some way cool travertine tile from a friend of ours. Now that we have some of it grouted in place it looks just like we hoped!!

After the tile is done its onto the finish work and then paint. All of which Tyler is planning on doing himself! Whenever I say he is a Jack-of-all-trades he always follows up with "and master-of-none." Well, I will let you decide for yourself what he is good at and what he is not. I think he is good at everything!!

Here are some pics that I just took today:

Bathroom: (we are putting the same tile for the shower surrounds)

A visit with Brandon

This weekend was super fun. On Saturday night I got to visit with a good friend of mine that I have not seen in about 6 years. Brandon joined the US Army about 10 years ago and was stationed in Germany. He married a girl that he met there and has been there ever since. In 2001, I visited him and his wife in Germany.

Brandon and I grew up together. He lived just 2 doors down. Most people thought we were twins cause we were always together. We did everything together. We have always remained friends even though miles seperate us! I will have to look for a picture to scan and post of us together when we were younger.

Thanks to Brandon and Didi for taking the time to visit with me and a super big thanks to Tyler for chasing Justin around so I could have a relaxing time!

My new favorite thing

My new favorite thing is this way cool cleaning stone. You know all those hard water spots and build-up you get in your bathroom sinks and toilets? Well, if you live in my neighborhood and don't have a water softener then you know what I am talking about.

I used this cleaning stone especially made for porceleain sinks and toilets that my mom gave me. I LOVE IT. It only took a few minutes at each sink and then at each toilet and walla....I have no more hard ward spots, build-up or rings.

My mom got it at Walmart and it is called "Pure Clean Cleaning Stone". You find it in the cleaning aisle. I couldn't find it on the Internet but here is one like it. I don't know how much the one at Wallymart is but my Mom said they are CHEAP.

Anyway, I loved it. I have never enjoyed sticking my hand in the toilet as much as I did after using this stone!! You should try it.

Don't worry, I used it in all the sinks first and then all of the toilets and then I threw it away. I will start with a brand new clean one the next time I do my sinks!!
