Cakes & Birthday Parties

Justin and his Birthday cake! It took him a minute but he dug in.
Dad had to help him a little at first by crumbling it up with a spoon. It was fun!
Here are the cakes we made for the party! Aren't we just so creative - or crazy. Yeah, it took us all day Saturday and 2 more hours on Sunday to finish these masterpieces. Tyler made a chocolate carmel cake and I made a twinkie filled yellow/chocolate monster cake. Justin's little cake was the cutest. Isn't it crazy that we spend all this time, money and effort so the little ones can stick their finger in the mess. Not to mention that they cant even eat much of it or they will get sick. Justin was a great sport and made us happy by eating it.

Here is Justin in his birthday wagon. Tyler was pulling him around the backyard as fast as he could run and Justin was loving it!!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JUSTIN

Justin is officially 1 years old!! I cant believe how time flies by. Last night Tyler and I played the "Remember when...." game. I remember the night before I was induced I just laid in bed (cause I couldn't sleep) and wondered just how my life was going to change. WOW - has it ever changed. I love being a mom and I know Tyler loves being a dad. It has been so much fun! We love it so much that we are going back for In-Vitro Round #2 in October. I know that sounds so far away but I will have to start my medication in August. We are excited. Definitely scared of the possibility of twins but we will take whatever Heavenly Father gives us!

So back to the birthday boy. This morning we sang happy birthday to him and then gave him his present. We got him a Radio Flyer Wagon (just like cousin Brody's). It will go camping with us and where ever else we need it to go. Then Justin and I met Tyler for lunch at the new JCW's. In celebration of 1 year we got a small Raspberry shake (JCW's small is GINORMOUS). It was so good and definitely not on the diet. But today is a special day and we celebrated. Tonight we are going to the Horse Parade in Lehi and then to Grandma Clark's for a BBQ. It will be a fun night. The official birthday party with cake and ice cream is going to be on Sunday. I will definitely post those pictures. I took pictures this morning and at lunch but I am too lazy to get the off my camera. I will post them I promise.

Nearly 100 lbs.

Well, it's time to update you on the diet. Yes, we are still on the diet. We are in the middle of our 4th month and together we have nearly lost 100 lbs. That's a whole junior high student. We have definately had our ups and downs but for the most part we still enjoy eating healthy - things we miss most? For me it is ice cream, thick shakes, Hogi Yogi Yogurt with score mixed in, ice cream, and cheesy potatoes, and did I mention ice cream. For Tyler I think it is movie theater butter microwave popcorn, pepsi, and cheese fries. Maybe one of these days we can slurge here and there. Sorry, I dont have a great picture of us....maybe next time.

Learning to walk

Justin is getting so big. He is learning to WALK!! This is where he started - along the banister. You should see him now. I have a better video of him walking but it is still on my camera. I promise it is coming soon....... Tomorrow is his birthday. I cant believe that he is one. What am I going to do with a toddler?!?

The 1st Father's Day

For Father's Day we went camping in our new trailer at the Diamond Fork Camp Ground. Justin played on Brody's bike (with Dad's help of course). This was Tyler's first official Father's Day!!
This is our little family! :)
Lee, Megan, Ali and Brody came with us! We had lots of fun!

A day at the Park

We went to the park to celebrate cousin Madi's graduation. Just loved the swings. He was so happy to play with Dad at the park. After all the hard playing at the park Justin was so tired. He couldnt even make it home before he was all tuckered out.
He is such a big boy now!

Boys will be Boys

Tyler planted the garden last Saturday. I put Justin on a blanket right by the garden. He normally wont crawl on the grass but to our surprise once he eyed the dirt he didnt let the grass get in his way. He crawled right over to the dirt and climbed right in He loved it!! Mom let him play forever in the dirt. When he was done he was quite a dirty little boy. I think we took 20 pictures before we could get him to look at the camera once.

What a good little eater we have

Justin is a good little eater. He eats nearly anything we give to him (except for applesauce). He LOVES hotdogs, cheese and yogurt. He is eating peas and carrotts here.

Mommy's little mess maker

Justin loves to make messes for mommy to pick up! He loves to get all of his bibs out of the cupboard and throw them all over the kitchen floor! sometimes he will pick them up for mommy and put them in a different drawer!
