32 Weeks and counting

We have officially made it to the 32 week mark today!! What a milestone for us. I went to the doctor today. Things are going well. I appear to be healthy and my blood pressure remains good!! No word of bedrest as of yet. I just need to keep up what I have been doing....taking it easy!

We did our first NST (non-stress test) on the babies today. The reason for the NST is because I am 32 weeks pregnant with twins and my doctor just likes to start monitoring movement, heatbeats and contractions at this stage in the game. The NST went well. It took a little bit of time to find both of the babies heartbeats and keep them on the monitor for the same 20 minutes. Thanks to Tyler (who happens to always be my best nurse) we were able to keep the monitor on Baby "A" for 20 minutes. Baby A tends to be a little more spontaneous than our Steady Eddy Baby "B".

Next week we do an ultrasound to determine weight, size, position, etc. I am hoping for 5 pounders!! If you were to take one look at my belly you would say that that was possible!! haha

Thank you to all who have been so much help with Justin. There are several of you out there that have been lifesavers!! THANK YOU!

Basement

Hillary has been telling me I need to do a post on the blog about the basement, so here it is. We started on the basement about 3 months ago, and it has been fast and furious ever sense then. We wanted to get it done before the babies got here, so we could move the office and all of Hillary's sewing stuff downstairs. Well, we are almost finished, I just have a few odds and ends to finish up. I have posted pictures of a couple of my favorite areas. The first one is of the family room and fireplace. Just in case you wanted to know, I did all the rock on the fireplace myself after getting a few tips from my friend Chris Willis. So if you know anybody out there looking for a slow, out of shape, inexperienced mason who will demand to be paid 10 times what he is worth, then I'm their guy. The second picture is of the bathroom/shower. I think the travertine looks great. Thanks Kolter. The third and final is a picture of the finish work. My brother Lee did all the finish work and it looks awesome. My painter said it was the best finish work he had seen. I think he was really happy because that meant he didn't have to putty or caulk very much.

It's comming along

The basement is coming along very quickly. Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks......

This is "The Little Man Cave" for the boys to play in. It is one of those play cubbies that goes under the stairs. Justin likes to poke his head in there and ventures to the back only if he is feeling brave.

This is the kitchen area with the finish carpentry work done but before paint.

This is the shower....I love the stone surrounds. Yes, it is the same as the floor.
This is the fireplace. If you look close you can see that the paint is finished. Tyler finished the stone on it today but I dont have a picture of it yet....stay posted.
This is another view of the kitchen. The paint looks awesome! Justin loves going downstairs to see Dad working. I think that he loves to run from one side to the other more than anything.

Mom's tummy & 30 week update

Hillary: "Justin, what do you think of Mom's big tummy?"
Justin: after some thought, "Huge."

We are definatley to the stage that we need to watch what we say because we have little ears around us!!

I have officially made it to 30 weeks pregnant. According to the doctor I am doing great. My blood pressure is still good, which is always a concern for me. I am feeling pretty good considering I'm VERY pregnant. I get tired very easy and I have to be careful not to plan too much activity into one day. Little Justin has been a trooper. Every afternoon he plays by himself while I sit in the recliner and try to catch a little nap. It has been a little tough since he has decided he's done taking naps. Some days I get near desperate to have a few minutes of shut eye. Tyler has been good to me too. He has been very patient dealing with a GRUMPY wife.

We are shooting to make it 6 more weeks! Wish us luck!

So for all of you that haven't seen me in a while.....this is what VERY pregnant looks like!
