Vacation

The first part of June we went on vacation for a whole week. Tyler won a trip from his work and we ended up going to Park City and taking the kids. We had so much fun even if the 24-hour flu hit us.

We stayed at the Silverado Lodge at the Canyons. It was super nice. All three boys had one room and then we had our own room. We really liked the lodge.
The twins spent a lot of time in the stroller. It was so cute when they would hold hands.

Hunter kicked back in the high chair just like he does at home. He is so stinking cute when he does this. He rolled over for the first time all by himself while we were in Park City! It was an exciting moment for all of us!

It was so nice to have Tyler around 24-hours a day to help hold, feed, change, and bathe.

Justin loved going to the park. He dubbed the park "The Trackhoe Park" because there was a sandbox backhoe. He spent a lot of time on this.

Every night after dinner and when the temperatures would cool we went to the "Trackhoe Park". I sat on the blanket with the twins while Tyler and Justin played with the track hoe. Hunter was asleep every single time we went to the park so there he is in his car seat under his blanket.

Fisher had his first experience with the swing and he loved it. Justin thought it was cool that Fisher got to swing.

Here I am trying to hold Fisher's arms down so he would keep his hat on...I eventually gave up.

Justin and Tyler swam at the lodge. They were the only ones in the pool. Justin really liked it when Tyler would throw him in the air....even if he did loose his shorts.

We had so much fun just relaxing and spending time with each other. We went to the zoo one day and that was tons of fun; you'll have to see the next post for details on the zoo!
Thanks Tyler for working so hard to earn this trip. We had so much fun!

Thinking of Grandma

I have been thinking about my Grandma Helen a lot lately.

This picture is probably hard to see but it says: "Our Twin Baby, Eric Jacobs Johnsson, Feb 23, 1957 - Feb 24, 1957". My mom's twin brother died one day after they were born. I have thought about Grandma and wondered how she must have felt when one of her precious babies died. I am sure that as she watched my mom grow she had to have wondered what Eric would have been like. Would he be like Signe? What would he look like? What would he sound like? I just can not imagine how it must have been.

I often feel sad that Hunter is behind Fisher in development and wish that Hunter could do all the same things Fisher can do. But I am so thankful to have both of my precious babies with me.

Not only did Grandma loose her precious baby but 2 weeks later her mom died (my great-grandma) and then 5 months later her husband (my mom's dad) was killed in a car accident. I don't know how she survived!

On Memorial Day, I took the boys down to see Grandma's headstone. We love you Grandma, and miss you!

Justin loves to play

Justin loves doing fun things. He loves going to Kangaroo Zoo with some of his friends. He loves to go on the big big slides. Here he is climbing up the biggest slide int he whole place...
And of course he loves going down.

One day me and the boys met Tyler at Cabella's for lunch. Tyler and Justin played the hunting arcade. I think Tyler had more fun than Justin.
Tyler can't wait until the twins are a little older so he can take his boys and do man things. I cant wait either!

When its your own kids

Yesterday while at my sister's house, Fisher did the monster poop of all time. You know the kind that goes clear up the back . . . . and onto the floor!! Yeah, thats right, he pooped and it came clear out onto the floor. Good thing he was sitting on a rug that went right into the washer.

oh, I dont want to forget the funniest thing of all this is that my sister's daughter, Emmie, was so excited to tell Grandma Sing something that she was jumping up and down and jumped right into the poop and then stepped onto the carpet!

I guess when it's your own kids (or your sister's kid) you can laugh about something like this. Thanks Kris for understanding.

Congrats to my little brother!

Kjell and Paige are engaged! We are so happy and excited for them!

This is how my conversation with Justin went:

Mom: "Justin, Kjell and Paige are getting married."

Justin: "Huh. " long pause "Why doesn't Grandpa and Grandma get married?"

Little kids are so funny!

Medical Milestones

Hunter has reached some medical milestones. First, the eye doctor thinks his eyes are going to be fine. We were worried about a cross/lazy eye. Second, he has been off Prevacid (helps with acid reflux) for a week now and seems to be doing well. He has also hit the 15 lb mark.

Each day he seems to be more happy! Horray for our little guy!
