Boys LOVE the sand

Justin absolutely loves playing in the sand. His favorite sand buddy is his best friend Wyatt.

The other day Justin wanted to take his baby diggers (matchbox diggers) out to the sand box. I told him that once toys go in the sand box they cant come out. He responded, "Yes they can. I will just drive them out backwards." Ha, I love the mind of little boys. I meant that they couldnt come into the house cause they would be full of sand.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful mother's day this year. Tyler and the boys got me another pedicure (repeat from my birthday). I am so excited to use it.

I am so blessed to be a mom to 3 wonderful boys. I remember how sad I was on Mother's Day when we were trying so hard to get pregnant. Now I have these 3 little boys that are the joy of my life. I have learned so much from being a mom.

Mom and Justin

Mom and Fisher

Mom and Hunter

Thanks boys for letting me experience motherhood. I love you guys!

Maybe in a few years we can attempt a picture with all of you in it. Right now that seems impossible! hehe

He sleeps!

Hunter sleeps! Finally we are close to getting him to sleep through the night. It has been a wild ride trying to get Hunter to sleep. He likes to be held until he is asleep and then ever so gently laid in bed. Some nights he was waking up for hours at a time. Some nights he would play happily and other nights he would scream the whole time. Typically he was up about 2 hours right in the middle of the night. We have resorted to letting him cry it out. When he wakes up we feed him and then put him in the pack-n-play in the TV room and let him cry-it-out. Some nights are long and others not too bad. We are now to the point that he cries for less than 30 minutes. I just lay on the couch and some nights I fall asleep before he does. The up for hours at a time was killing us. Now we see the light at the end of the sleep tunnel and feel like we are on the right track. Keep up the good work Hunter. We love you!

Fisher is Mr. Busy

Fisher keeps me on my toes because he is Mr. Busy himself. He is never content with the same thing for very long, he just moves from one mess to the next.

He climbs on the counter tops,

he wears his dinner,

he climbs on toys to get whatever his little eye spys,

but when bed time nears he does slow down just a bit (it helps if Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on the TV)

and when Mr. Busy falls asleep his is a sweet angel. awe, at last he has stopped moving.

I just love my Fisher babe. He was sent to our fmily straight from Heaven!

Easter

This past Easter we had an egg hunt at Grandma Sing's house.

Justin just loved gathering eggs with his cousins but would not look at the camera.

Fisher was so excited to be let loose outside. He wouldn't even hold his bucket...probably becuase it slowed him down.

Hunter did not like the grass and wasn't too happy.

The Easter Bunny brought Justin a fishing pole and a tackle box, a sand bucket, and some treats. Fisher got a basketball game, new sippies, and treats. Hunter got a Signing Time DVD, some little balls and some yogurt bites. Mom and Dad got the extra candy.

We are trying to establish traditions that teach the children about Jesus Christ and his Atonement. This year was a little tough with the babies. It is a work in progress I guess.

Coloring Easter Eggs

This past Easter, Justin had so much fun coloring eggs. He kept saying he was painting the eggs. He did such a good job and the coloring dye stayed in the bowls! Justin is definately my child...he is so careful to not make a mess. What a good boy! Next year will be another story when the twins get to help "paint eggs". Fisher EQUALS mess. But we can't wait for next year.

Two days after Easter Justin asked if we could paint eggs again. I told him we didnt have any eggs to paint. He said, "That's ok mom. We can just boil some more." I didn't even know he knew that eggs were boiled. He listens to EVERYTHING we say.

The toy cage

Justin loves to pile all the toys into the indoor tramp we have downstairs. He puts as many toys through the little door on the net and then closes the door and tosses everything else up over the top. It is a lot easier going in than coming out. This is not one of my favorite activites because mom is usually the one who takes it all out and cleans it up. Whatever entertains the kids for a few minutes is worth the clean up right!?!

Conversations are getting better

I had this conversation with Justin in the car on the way to Grandpa Scott's.

Justin: "Mom, why are there roads?"
Mom: "We have roads so that we can drive in the car and get to the places we want to go."
Justin: "But why?"
Mom: "If there weren't any roads how would we get to Grandpa's house?"
Justin: "We could drive on the grass."
Mom: "We would break all the sprinklers if we drove on the grass."
Justin: "Well, if they would just make the sidewalks bigger then we could drive on them."
Mom: "How would we make the sidewalks bigger?"
Justin: "With a double drum compactor."

I just smiled and laughed and thought his Grandpa Scott would be proud.
