Idaho Sod Farm

July 24-26, 2013

One of our funnest camp trips in 2013 was our trip to the Idaho Sod Farm.  My brother-in-law hooked us up.  He buys a lot of sod from this guy.  Our group consisted of us, Haylie & Brandan and kids, Kristal & John & kids, Brock & Nicole and kids, and Rick & Sandi and 2 grandkids.  We had a lot of fun!

On the sod farm is a 700 foot long water slide.  It is slip-n-slide heaven!!  Below is a picture of the slide from the road.  It's that big long white line in the center of the photo.  There is also a smaller slide off to the right of this photo.
We camped right next to the owner's home.  When we weren't sliding we were doing other fun activities.  I was so worried if this would be a fun camp trip for Hunter and worried if he would be able to participate.  Hunter was so fantastic the whole time.  He enjoyed reading books when not sliding.

We played with play-doh, made paracord bracelets, and ate lots of snacks!

There was an enormous A-frame swingset.  The kids loved it.  Here is Paisley, Keegan and Hunter.

This is the view of our camp.  Our trailer was parked around the front of the home and those in tents pitched them right on the grass.  We congregated and ate under the canopies.  There was endless grass to play on.

Tyler and Fisher taking their turn at the swings.

The slide was so much fun.  The water was COLD but it was so much fun that it didn't matter how cold the water was.  Here is Justin coming down.  You could come down on tubes or without.  Most of us liked going without.  The kids loved their knees, tummies and bums.
Here is Tyler and Hunter.  The first day we were there Hunter LOVED the slide.  He didnt like it much the second day.

Here is the view from the top.  It was steep right off the top and then just a nice slope after the first third of the slide.

Here is Justin on his tummy.

Addie and Emmie going down with Hannah close behind.  It looks like Addie's not moving but she is.

Jason sliding ..... Justin and Jason were inseparable.  They were pretty much on their own and loved it.  They nearly went down together each and every time.

Tyler and Fisher.  The first day Fisher loved the slide and would go down by himself.  The second day he would only go riding on someone's lap.  That someone was either Tyler or Kristal.

The girls and their best pose - Addie, Emmie, Lilly, Paisley and Hannah.

Justin and Jason going down on the tube and getting a push off from Lilly and Brock.

Brandan sending off Brock and Lilly.

Mom and Hunter going down the slide.  I was super fast just on my bottom so it sort of made me a little nervous taking the kids with me.

We even had access to a candy cannon.  The kids really thought this was fun!

Hunter was tuckered out and ready for the ride home.

Fisher and Justin on the ride home.  Fisher feel asleep holding his sword.

This was such a fun trip!  We hope to make this an annual tradition.
